At St Michael’s we have a range of groups for children up to Yr6 during Sunday services and midweek. (For details of groups for older children and teenagers, click here).
Children on Sundays
Tiddlywinks Praise
Coffee and praise for children aged 0 – 5 years and parents/carers. Songs and instruments, stories and prayers, crafts, toys, refreshments and lots of fun! Wednesdays (fortnightly) 10-11am at St Michael’s church, Lilleshall. All are welcome!
Pathfinders
What is Pathfinders?
A chance to introduce children who are in school years R-6, to God, building knowledge, understanding and a relationship with him so that they can make a choice to walk God’s path and enter into his Kingdom.
When and where do we meet?
Thursdays during term time – 6.00pm–7.05pm (but not the first Thursday of each term) at St Michael’s & All Angels Church in Lilleshall
What do we do?
We spend time in small groups exploring the Bible through different approaches such as drama, interactive readings and puppets. This is often followed with a craft activity. We join together in worship with modern music and we occasionally include dance, ribbons, flags and musical instruments
Who are the Leaders?
The Leaders are all committed Christians who worship regularly:
- Leaders: Helen Jones, Jane Austin, Chris Leyden, Cheryl Gabriel, Rebecca Syrda, Emily Clayton,
- Assistant Leaders: Alex Jones, Mitchell Brooks, Izzy Roberts and Matthew Austin.
(All Leaders and Helpers have a CRB Check (Criminal Record bureau) and follow the Lichfield Diocesan Child Protection Policy)
How much does it cost?
We ask for a weekly donation of £1.00 per child (you are welcome to contribute on a half-termly basis if you prefer) which is used towards the cost of resources, materials and Birthday gifts for the children. We really appreciate your donations.
Anything else you need to know?
- Parents are invited to join us at 6.55pm for the last part of our time together. If you are not able to join us for this we request (for safety reasons) that you collect your children from inside the church building
- Pathfinders are encouraged to come along with their families to our child-friendly services and Messy Church
- A Consent/Health & Safety form needs to be completed for each child at the beginning of each academic year
