9.30am MORNING WORSHIP: Our service this morning is led by Paula and Heiko talks to us about ’The Resurrection of Jesus’  Ephesians 1:18-20 and 1  Corinthians 15:3-6,12-20.

6.30pm HOLY COMMUNION:  A warm welcome to our service this evening led by Matthew. Joshua 5:13-6:20 and Matthew 11:20-30.

Indonesia Tsunami Appeal: There will be an opportunity to donate to the    Tsunami Appeal via Tearfund at Church on Sunday 21st October.

Following the success of the weekends at Cloverley Hall in recent years, St John’s PCC are arranging a Parish Away Weekend at the Pioneer Centre near Cleobury Mortimer from the evening of Friday 17th May to the afternoon of Sunday 19th May 2018.  We would very much welcome any from St Michael’s who wish to join us for what promises to be a fun weekend.  We will shortly be      releasing details of costs and discounts for families etc,

CAR WASH: Our Young People will be raising funds washing cars after ‘Good Morning Sunday’ TODAY at St John’s.

PRAYERS FOR CAP Debt Centre takes place this Tuesday (16th) 4.30-5pm at St John’s in the Acorn Room.

You are invited to St Michael’s to POP IN FOR COFFEE this Thursday (18th) between 10am-12noon …all very welcome.

DOGS WITHOUT COLLARS are at Dawley Town Hall on Friday 19th October 7.30pm. They are a band of five (real) vicars who got together in 2005 to enjoy playing rock music. In October they will be visiting Telford. A mixture of sit’n’listen and up’n’boogie, their sets are a collection of favourites from the 50s to the 90s. Every penny of ticket sales will go to the Great Dawley Breakfast Club so that kids in the area can have a good start to the day. Our next HEALING SERVICE takes place on Sunday 21st October at 6.30pm at St John’s.

FORGET ME NOT FILMS: Do you like watching old musicals while enjoying a cup of tea and a slice of cake?  If so, join us at St John’s Thursday 25th from 9.30am – 12noon.   We will be watching ‘Daddy Long Legs’.

LUNCHCLUB TRIP TO TRENTHAM takes place on Friday 2nd November leaving St John’s at 9.45am.  If you would like to join them please speak to Ann 604341 or Lesley.

You are invited to our CAP Anniversary Celebration on Sunday 4th November 4pm at St John’s this year. A big celebration with guest speaker Liz Ewbank from CAP head office and refreshments afterwards. Please join us.  If anyone is able to bake a cake/small cakes for this event it would be appreciated. Please let Lesley know.  Thank you

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOX APPEAL:  It is time to start knitting and thinking/collecting bits and pieces for our annual Shoe Box appeal taking place on Sunday 18th November 11am at St John’s.

Dates for your Diary:  10th November – Remembrance Concert and other musical pieces by the Jackfield Band at the Memorial Hall, Lilleshall. 16th  December – Christmas Concert by the Gallery Singers at St Michael’s.

QUIZ: Angie Vann is doing a quiz at the Wheatsheaf pub, Chetwynd Aston on Monday 22nd October at 8pm in aid of the Rubens Residents’ Comfort fund.  Teams of up to 6 people, £2.50 per person. GOOD MORNING SUNDAY at St John’s. Breakfast from 8.15-9.15am, the Sunday papers, conversation, prayer and reflection. (Not on the 5th Sunday).

WORSHIP, LUNCH & MUSIC takes place on the First Thursday of each month and every week during Lent. We begin with a service of Communion at noon followed by lunch and a recital.

DO YOU LIKE WALKING FOR PLEASURE? We meet at St John’s every Wednesday at 10am for a gentle walk of around an hour.  All are welcome. More details from Jo Lefroy.

A MEN’S BREAKFAST takes place on the second Saturday of each month 8.30am at The Whitehouse Hotel in Muxton.  Please let David P, Matthew or Lesley know you are coming.

PRAYERS FOR CAP: We run a regular prayer time for the CAP Debt Centre, monthly 4.30pm on the 3rd Tuesday at St John’s in the Acorn Room.

You are invited to St Michael’s to POP IN FOR COFFEE on the third      Thursday of each month between 10am-12noon all very welcome.

PATHFINDERS: School Years R-Y6. Meets every Thursday at 5pm during term

time at St Michael’s. Tea served at 5.05pm.  Come and join the fun £2 per   session includes food. Email to help with catering.

BLAZE: A mid week 11’s-14’s group. It takes place between 6.30-7:30pm on Wednesdays at St Michael’s Church. Contact the office for further details.

SUB:ZERO – cafe style youth club for School years 7+ at St John’s 4-6pm on Friday’s during term time.

FUSION: (14 – 18 year olds) will meet weekly at St John’s.  The meeting time is Sunday evenings 7.15 – 8.30pm during term time. We meet for Bible study, prayer and discussion. Call 670033 for info.
