9.30am HOLY COMMUNION: Our service this morning is led by Matthew and Paula continues our new sermon series ’What Christians Believe’ with ’We need God in our lives’ 

6.30pm EVENING PRAYER (BCP):  A warm welcome to our service this evening led by Matthew.

PRAYERS: Gillian’s funeral is to take place on Thursday 20th September 1pm here at St Michael’s Church followed by Telford Crem at 2.30pm. Please       continue to prayer for her family and friends.

THE GALLERY SINGERS present their 100th concert at Holy Trinity Church in Much Wenlock on Saturday 22nd September 7.30pm in aid of Alzheimer’s    Research UK Shropshire.  Tickets £8 from Andy 07968906446 or on the door.

CELEBRATING TELFORD 50@ST MATTHEW’S:  Saturday 22nd 11- 2pm & 6pm community art, photographs, audio-visual display, children’s activities , quiz. Saturday 22nd 7.30pm an evening of light music with a local community choir. Light refreshments and Sunday 23rd 3pm  Eucharist with the Bishop of Lichfield, celebrating feast of St Matthew, giving thanks for our new facilities and Telford 50! Followed by tea & cake. Entrance free to all events.

FORGET ME NOT FILMS: Do you like watching old musicals while enjoying a cup of tea and a slice of cake?  If so, join us at St John’s on Thursday 27th September from 9.30am – 12noon.   We will be watching ‘Funny Face’

A CONCERT BY ST MICHAEL’S CHOIR takes place on Sunday 7th October at 3.30pm.  Programme including Danny Boy, Can you feel the love tonight, I have a dream, food Glorious Food and much more.  Admission is free.

Telford Christians Together invites you to TOGETHER FOR THE KINGDOM on Thursday 11th October 7pm at Meeting Point House Chapel.  Guest speaker is Lloyd Cooke Chief Executive of Saltbox.  Saltbox is a charity that provides support for local churches, Christian ministries and faith groups.

“We All Have A Story” – A day for Men organised by New Wine.  Saturday 13th October 9.15am – 4pm at Liverpool Cathedral.  Speakers include Carl Beech, Steve Legg, Bill Bygroves, Phil Emmerson and Jennifer Rees Larcombe.  A group of us are intending to go. DOGS WITHOUT COLLARS are at Dawley Town Hall on Friday 19th October 7.30pm. They are a band of five (real) vicars who got together in 2005 to enjoy playing rock music. In October they will be visiting Telford. A mixture of sit’n’listen and up’n’boogie, their sets are a collection of favourites from the 50s to the 90s. Every penny of ticket sales will go to the Great Dawley Breakfast Club so that kids in the area can have a good start to the day. Big celebration service with speaker from CAP head office 10th November – Remembrance Concert and other musical pieces by the   Jackfield Band at the Memorial Hall, Lilleshall. 16th December – Christmas Concert by the Gallery Singers at St Michael’s.

GOOD MORNING SUNDAY at St John’s. Breakfast from 8.15-9.15am, the Sunday papers, conversation, prayer and reflection. (Not on the 5th Sunday).

WORSHIP, LUNCH & MUSIC takes place on the First Thursday of each month and every week during Lent. We begin with a service of Communion at noon followed by lunch and a recital.

DO YOU LIKE WALKING FOR PLEASURE? We meet at St John’s every Wednesday at 10am for a gentle walk of around an hour.  All are welcome. More details from Jo Lefroy.

A MEN’S BREAKFAST takes place on the second Saturday of each month 8.30am at The Whitehouse Hotel in Muxton.  Please let David P, Matthew or Lesley know you are coming.

PRAYERS FOR CAP: We run a regular prayer time for the CAP Debt Centre, monthly 4.30pm on the 3rd Tuesday at St John’s in the Acorn Room.

PATHFINDERS: School Years R-Y6. Meets every Thursday at 5pm during term

time at St Michael’s. Tea served at 5.05pm.  Come and join the fun £2 per   session includes food. Email to help with catering.

BLAZE: A mid week 11’s-14’s group. It takes place between 6.30-7:30pm on Wednesdays at St Michael’s Church. Contact the office for further details.

SUB:ZERO – cafe style youth club for School years 7+ at St John’s 4-6pm on Friday’s during term time.

FUSION: (14 – 18 year olds) will meet weekly at St John’s.  The meeting time is Sunday evenings 7.15 – 8.30pm during term time. We meet for Bible study, prayer and discussion. Call 670033 for info.
