9.30am HOLY COMMUNION: Our service this morning led by Matthew and James talks to us about ‘I am the Resurrection and the Life’  John 11:1-45.

6.30pm NOW WORSHIP: Welcome to our contemporary service this evening led by Anne Plant.

PRAYERS: Our prayers are needed for the 19 million people in East and Southern Africa who are in urgent need of food, water and medical treatment. The countries in this region  face huge trials because of civil war, famine and displaced people. We also pray that God will give strength, wisdom and protection to church leaders there who are a source of hope. “The Lord is a   refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble” Psalm 9:9.

CONTACT DETAILS: Your privacy is important to us, and we want to continue to communicate with YOU which is in line with UK law on data protection.  UK law is changing and we now need to confirm your consent to how we contact you. Please pick up a form available in church which will allow us to do this and return to Lesley when completed.  We do need a form for everyone we have any contact details for.  Thank you for your help in this matter.

ACTIVITY DAYS 2018: Can you help with this years Activity Days ? held 24th to 27th July. You can appreciate there is a lot of organisation and it really helps to have your availability to ensure we have enough leaders/helpers even more so this year as we have a few of our regular leaders and helpers unavailable so your time, if you can give it, is even more vital. Please fill in a form available in church and hand to Ellie Jones or Lesley in the office.

WORSHIP, LUNCH & MUSIC takes place this Thursday (7th). We begin with a service of Communion at noon followed by lunch and a recital by Delia Brown and Ann Jones.

A MEN’S BREAKFAST takes place this Saturday (9th) 8.30am at The Whitehouse Hotel in Muxton.  Please let Matthew or Lesley know you are coming.

NEWPORT CARNIVAL: Would you be able to help the Churches Together Group in Newport for the activities they are running at Newport Carnival on Saturday 9th June?  They will be providing tea and coffee in St Nicholas church, with a table outside serving squash.  There will be prayer stations, tubs with small gifts in, outdoor games eg connect 4 and face painting.   If so please contact Dave Clissold (Newport Christian Fellowship) directly on 07780 956429.

Our next TGI for our young people takes place on Sunday 10th June 6pm at St John’s.

The SERVICE LEADING TEAM are due to meet next on Monday 11th June 7.30pm at the Vicarage.

CSW National conference is coming to Birmingham ‘Pursue Justice’ on  Saturday 16 June 1pm -4pm (doors open 12noon) at Elim Church Selly Oak, Exeter Rd, Birmingham B29 6EU (nearest railway station is Selly Oak). It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn about religious freedom, and commit to prayer and action as a group.                          http://www.csw.org.uk/pursuejustice.htm

RICH’S LICENSING: Rich will be licensed as Priest in Charge of Shawbury, Stanton upon Hine Heath and Moreton Corbet at St Mary’s Church,            Shawbury, SY4 4NH, on Wednesday 20th June at 7:30pm.  There is a list of anyone wishing to go to Shawbury at the back of Church.

FOOD BANK PLEA FOR FOOD..donations are needed, stocks are very low at the moment and demand high.  A collection box is still in our church.

GOOD MORNING SUNDAY at St John’s. Breakfast from 8.15-9.15am, the Sunday papers, conversation, prayer and reflection. (Not on the 5th Sunday).

WORSHIP, LUNCH & MUSIC takes place on the First Thursday of each month (except January and August) and every week during Lent. We begin with a service of Communion at noon followed by lunch and a recital.

DO YOU LIKE WALKING FOR PLEASURE? We meet at St John’s every Wednesday at 10am for a gentle walk of around an hour.  All are welcome. More details from Jo Lefroy.

A MEN’S BREAKFAST takes place on the second Saturday of each month 8.30am at The Whitehouse Hotel in Muxton.  Please let Simon T, Matthew or Lesley know you are coming.

PRAYERS FOR CAP: We continue to run a regular prayer time for the CAP Debt Centre, monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at St John’s in the Acorn Room AT A NEW TIME of 4.30pm.

You are invited to St Michael’s to POP IN FOR COFFEE on the third      Thursday of each month between 10am-12noon all very welcome.

FORGET ME NOT FILMS: Do you like watching old musicals while enjoying a cup of tea and a slice of cake?  If so, join us usually on the 4th Thursday of each month from 9.30am – 12noon.

PATHFINDERS: School Years R-Y6. Meets every Thursday at 5pm during term

time at St Michael’s. Tea served at 5.05pm.  Come and join the fun £2 per   session includes food. Email to help with catering.

BLAZE: A mid week 11’s-14’s group. It takes place between 6.30-7:30pm on Wednesdays at St Michael’s Church. Contact the office for further details.

SUB:ZERO – cafe style youth club for School years 7+ at St John’s 4-6pm on Friday’s during term time.

FUSION: (14 – 18 year olds) will meet weekly at St John’s.  The meeting time is Sunday evenings 7.15 – 8.30pm during term time. We meet for Bible study, prayer and discussion. Call 670033 for info.
