PASSION FOR LIFE: Please pray for our communication strategy. Pray for John Preston and Jenny Cresswell who are leading on this area. Pray for the methods, the images, the wording that will engage everyone in Muxton. Also pray for them to be inspired with the correct material to give out to people during the week.
DO YOU KNOW? Rich is seeking information from anyone who knows anything about the stone memorial topped by an angel, just outside the main entrance to church. If you have any information (particularly about relatives or interested parties), please speak to Rich.
WANTED clean old sheets, blankets, curtains or other large pieces of fabric (cream, beige, brown or blue fabric – no florals and pyjama cord for costumes for passion play as soon as possible. Please give to Lesley or Frances. Thank you.
EVER THOUGHT OF GOING TO NEW WINE? Ever wondered what New Wine was all about? TODAY, everyone who has ever been to – or who has ever thought of going to – New Wine is invited to a Bring and Share Lunch at St John’s. We will start straight after the main service at 12.30 pm.

SERVING IN THE POWER OF GOD: Led by John McGinley Regional Director for New Wine, Midlands Region. A day of ‘Biblical teaching on Spiritual Gifts’ & ‘Practical application of Spiritual Gifts’ takes place on Saturday 11th February 9.30-3.30pm at St James Church, Brownhills. Cost £5 per person. GOOD MORNING SUNDAY – a new way to start your Sunday continues next Sunday at St John’s. Breakfast from 8.15 am, the Sunday papers, conversation, prayer and reflection. On a busy Sunday, start the day with God and be fed and ready to go by 9:15! (Not on the 5th Sunday).
SHONTAL THEATRE GROUP presents ‘It’s only a few quid…’at The Telford Whitehouse Hotel, Watling Street, Wellington TF1 2NJ 2pm on Wednesday 15th February. Intended to be hard hitting and thought provoking drama about the hardship faced by a young mother who encounters the attentions of a loan shark. FORGET ME NOT FILMS: Do you like watching old musicals while enjoying a cup of tea and a slice of cake? If so, join us on Thursday 16th February at 9.30am to watch ‘An American in Paris’.
This years FILM FEST for our youth groups takes place on Friday 17th February 7pm-Saturday 18th 7am. Pick up a letter from church or speak to Thom.
HEALING SERVICE: Our next Healing Service takes place Sunday 19th February 6.30pm here at St John’s. All welcome to join us at this quiet reflective service.
HOLY LAND VISIT: Have you always wanted to visit the holy land? Would you like to see some of the places we read about in the Bible? Then this may be for you … read on! A friend of David Pierce, the Rev Dr Alan Munden, who is on the staff team of Jesmond Parish Church, NuT, is planning to lead a 7 – 10 day visit to Israel in October/November 2017. Travel to Israel will be EL AL airline departing from Heathrow. Cost is likely to be in the region of £1800 (single room supplements about £300) depending on the numbers going. Alan has been to Israel five times already and is familiar with many of the ‘must see’ sites. Visiting Israel brings together religion (three world faiths), history (over 10,000 years) and politics (going back to the founding of the state of Israel). Apart from the Dead Sea area the weather will be fine and sunny. There is much walking involved! David is intending to go and would like to know if any church members would be interested in joining him. To find out more please phone David on 850231.

PRAYERS FOR CAP: We continue to run a prayer time for the CAP Debt Centre on 3rd Tuesday of each month at St John’s 9am in the Acorn Room.

BLAZE: A new mid week 11’s-14’s group. It takes place between 6-7:30pm on Wednesdays at Lilleshall memorial hall. Contact Thom for further details.
PATHFINDERS: School Years R-Y6. Meets every Thursday at 5pm during term time at St Michael’s. Kids activities including games, sports, craft and worship. Tea served at 5.05pm. SUB:ZERO – cafe style youth club for School years 7+ at St John’s 4-6pm on Friday’s during term time. A chance for young people to meet with friends, relax and have fun inc games like pool & table tennis, Xbox Kinect and a tuck shop followed by ABSOLUTE:ZERO approx 5.30pm…..A chance to ask questions about God and about being a Christian…
FUSION: (14 – 18 year olds) will meet weekly at the home of Thom Foster 3A Fieldhouse Drive, Muxton. The meeting time is Sunday evenings 7.15 – 8.30pm during term time. We meet for Bible study, prayer and discussion. Call 670760 for info.
