Your wedding at St Michael’s or St John’s

Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage! Whether you’re just dreaming of a church wedding, or well into the planning already, we want to help and support you. Whether or not you are regularly at church or would call yourself religious you are welcome to have a wedding in either church. There are some things about marrying in church that you just can’t get anywhere else. It’s your wedding. Let us help you make it personal, meaningful, spiritual and beautiful. Please contact us using our contact form for more information on having your wedding at St Michael’s, Lilleshall or St John’s, Muxton.

There are occasions when couples seeking marriage in church already have children, and might therefore wish to recognize and give thanks for God’s gift of children within the context of the celebration of their marriage.  In such cases, it may be appropriate for elements of the service of Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child to follow the Marriage. For this to happen we ask  couples to attend our baptism/thanksgiving evenings and to attend one of the churches a few times in the same way that other families who have a thanksgiving do.  To find out more about baptisms and thanksgivings, click here.
